New Data-Trax™ Price Channels Get Grip on Shelf Edge Promotion

Data-Trax

Southern Imperial has expanded its line of extruded price channels with the new release of Data-Trax Grip Tracks, the shelf edge system that combines pricing and promotion while offering flexibility.

"Using this type of in-store promotion is ideal," according to Tom Valiulis, Vice President of Marketing for Southern Imperial, because "we're able to enhance the functionality of a price channel and broaden the spectrum of communication through a single solution."

The key marketing feature of the Grip Track is the ability to integrate brand and promotional messages with shelf price labels. "Retailers can save cost by eliminating the need for additional sign clips while using the Grip Tracks," says Valiulis. "The price channels snap into standard 1-1/4 inch c-channels on shelving units. More product information and promotional messages can be inserted into the grip track. We produce and distribute over 18 different price tag holders for varies applications, however, the Grip Track has even more usability as a shelf talker," he added.

Southern Imperial has been working with US supermarkets for over 50 years and has pioneered many of the systems used by the leading retailers, according to Valiulis. “This product has proven to hold its own while positioning as a practical solution for in-store communications," he said. "Retailers can continue to change printed messages without changing the entire shelf,” he added.

Many of our Data-Trax Price Channels are designed to work in several applications. The variety of styles is applicable for shelf channels, warehouse racks, hooks, glass shelving, wire baskets, and flat surfaces. Valiulis says they are designed to hold paper tags, which cost 60% less than adhesive labels and are easier to change in less time. "Since being the first to introduce extruded price channels in 1994, we have noticed the reliability retailers have in using our products,” says Valiulis. The company is able to consistently develop more effective and practical scanning profiles."
