Southern Imperial Opens Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise in China

New Operation Increases Worldwide Capacity in Retail Fixture and Display Development

Southern Imperial, Inc., announced the official opening of Southern Imperial China, a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE), which has been established to complement its engineering, customer service and quality assurance business office in Shenzhen, China. Southern Imperial China, which shipped its first containers to Chinese and North American markets in May of 2007, will operate as a production, warehousing and distribution hub in Changzhou, China. The new facility will serve as an ongoing expansion of Southern Imperial's manufacturing and global response to retail and point-of-purchase products.

Headquartered in the USA, Southern Imperial is a profitable, well-established provider of fixture hardware and display solutions for markets in the United States, Canada, Europe, China, Mexico, Australia and India. The company has a full-service portfolio and network with two fully operational sites in the People's Republic of China, producing several of its catalog product lines.

Southern Imperial China utilizes an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) management system to ensure the production and delivery of high quality fixture components and display units, and to effectively produce, manage, and track those products, information and resources across the enterprise and supply chain, while adhering to increasingly stringent quality standards.

"Using an ERP management system has allowed Southern Imperial China to work faster and adapt quickly in its operations," said Valiulis. "We have also included our newest 3D CNC wire bending and welding equipment to cut production times, reduce cost and improve service for our customers."

It is anticipated that by January 2008 Southern Imperial China will be fully stocked with display hooks, clip strips, cross bars, custom wire fixtures, profiles, displays, metal, acrylic, injection molded and extruded label holders,” Valiulis said, “Orders can be shipped directly from Southern Imperial China. This will enhance the level of service provided to our distributors and customers."
